Canada continued…

Friday, January 30th, 2009

Now, if I dont make notes and write everything down straight away, then I forget but it comes back to me a few days later! Here’s a couple of things I wanted to mention in my last blog…

When I arrived in Canada, and was getting my work permit at customs. Two officials took me aside with all my luggage. And said ‘we’re going to search you’. I said ‘go ahead’. Then they asked what I did, and I told them I was an actress and exotic entertainer. So of course, the stereotypes come out. They basically said ‘well we know that girls in your business are all drug addicts so you better tell us right now if you have anything, cause it will be alot easier on you’. I was so shocked at this statement that I was speechless. All I could say was, no I dont have anything, I dont do drugs. And they asked if I’d ever done drugs, I said, well yeah, but its not just because of the industry I’m in, haven’t most people tried a drug of some sort in their life??? I was 13 when I first smoked pot.

And then they said, ‘birds of a feather, flock together’, I was getting really pissed off at this point and wanted to go off on them, because that kind of attitude is just way too judgemental for me. But I held it together and explained that, I have friends who party, and friends who are sober, we all hang out together, it doesn’t mean we’re all doing drugs. People dont seem to understand the fact that just because one person in your group is partying, doesn’t mean everyone is. Each to their own you know? God, talk about guilty by association.

So they shut up at that point. And of course, didn’t find any trace of any drugs on any of my stuff, after swabbing everything. It just goes to show how the world looks at pornstars and puts us all in this category of being drug addicts. There are drug addicts in every industry, doesn’t mean that everyone who works within that industry is an addict. It really pisses me off to be stereotyped all the time.

Anyway, on a more fun note, I forgot to mention how when I was on stage, I was pouring sambuca in everyone’s mouths – mouths not touching the bottle fyi. Then I had a girl pour it in mine while i was laying down, and she got it all over me! lol. So I had black streaks all over my face and my body. And I had 2 more shows to perform that night! I had a really hard getting it off and didn’t have time to re-do my makeup. I took a baby wipe shower and managed to get it off.

The night before, the same girl, was doing rasberry sour shots off of my stomach, and somehow managed to spill it all in my hair! So my bangs were pink after that. Really sticky, it was freakin hilarious.

thats all for now.

Canada, music, Maxim

Canada was awesome! I really had a great time and look forward to going back next year. I performed 10 shows at Airways in Nisku, Alberta and also a signing at Hush adult megastore in Edmonton.

The manager at Airways, Bryon, was very cool and made sure I had a great time. I would highly recommend this club to all feature dancers out there. The store was really nice, very cool people, and of course, I did a bit of shopping while I was there, a couple of pairs of boots and a bustier.
Its so different to dancing in the US. The girls are booked for at least an 18min stage show which can turn into 45mins if your game playing is going well. In order to get tips – which in Canada they have looney’s ($1 and $2 coins) you have to bring a blanket up on stage, along with a plastic jug, and plenty of promo to give away.

When your naked. You do your floor show on the blanket, and go around asking the guys if they wanna play with you. So you roll up your poster into a cone in the jug, and find interesting positions to sit in with the jug by your crotch, and they try and get as many looneys in the jug as they can, and then you give them a poster. The blanket is not only to catch the coins, but so you dont get splinters in your backside from the wooden stage.

oh and it was minus 30 up there! I think thats the most cold i’ve ever felt, but it wasn’t so bad, kinda fun actually, being driven around with the snow and ice blowing around everywhere from the winds, looked really cool.
Now i’m back in Sunny LA for a few weeks, then off to Pasadena, TX.

Right now I’m watching my guitarist come up with ideas for a melody I gave him. So a new song is on the way soon.

And I’m very excited to be featured in Feb Maxim! I have a full page ad in there for Fyretv if you wanna check it out.

On the road…

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

Last week I decided to go to the AVN convention in Vegas, last minute, and I’m sorry for not telling anyone that I was signing at the Fyre TV booth – cause I really didn’t organize it until the day before, and didn’t have time to announce that I was going to be there. But I only stayed an hour anyway. It was very sad to see this year, because the convention was not like it used to be, down around 40% in fact. I’m sure mostly because of the economy.
I didn’t even go to the awards show, because my friends were not at all interested, so we went to Nobu for the second night in a row, yuuuuum. I could eat there every night! Then we hit up a big awards show after party at Studio 54, which was alot of fun actually, despite choking on all the cigarette smoke. I got in trouble for dancing on the chair which was very close to the edge of the balcony. But hey, I was havin’ a good time! And I was In Control actually.
We had an after party at our big suite at the Luxor, then had to get up 2 hours later to fly back to LA. I get home and crash until Monday, where I quickly had to do all my laundry and pack to leave for Ohio early the next morning, which is where I am right now, feature dancing at Pazzazz, near Dayton. The club is really nice, the owner is very cool (and she’s smokin’ hot for her age), they picked me up in a limo from the airport and took me out to a nice dinner at Flemings, see, that’s how I like to be treated! haha. The house girls are really sweet. It’s like a ‘Cheers’ type feel at this club. They have the spinning pole – which can be a little scary after a few too many drinks, I nearly went flying last night! Lol. And I only had 2 shots of patron.

Its the coldest its been in 6 years. So i’ve been staying in my hotel the whole time, which is very nice, like a one bedroom apartment. Outside feels like a big slap of ice hits you in the face, i’ve never experienced anything like it. Yesterday was the biggest snow storm they’ve had in a year, and of course, it was my first day performing, just my luck! Alot of the roads were closed, and I wouldn’t blame anyone for not leaving the house. Its fucking freezing! But thank you to everyone who did make it!
Today is still freezing and windy, but at least its stopped snowing, so maybe people can actually drive. On the brightside, this is good preparation for my trip to Alberta, Canada next week, which is apparently a hell of alot colder than here, but thats okay, cause the club is next to the hotel which is next to the airport, and I’m sure I will survive. A friend of mine suggested I go outside and make a snow angel and take a photo! Ummm, sounds like fun, but I dont think so mate! Lol. Silly. Ah, makes me realize how lucky I am to live in LA, it was beach weather (80 something) when I left! Can you imagine, In the middle of winter, going to the beach? How awesome is that!

And no, I am not complaining, I’m just telling you how it is, sharing my experiences with you. If my honesty is too much for you – then dont read my blogs!

Luv you all!

NYE 2008

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope 2009 is a huge success for everyone!

NYE I went to a party at the Hilton in Costa Mesa (Orange County) with a bunch of friends. It was huge, 6 different rooms with different DJ’s. loads of people. We had a couple of suites too, which we spent most of the time partying in. I have some funny pics that I’m posting on my website www.monicamayhem.com sorry, can’t post them here cause they’re too explicit!

Had a good night. Still haven’t had a New Years that compares to being on a boat in Sydney Harbour watching the fireworks. I dont know what could possibly beat that!

Spent all of yesterday recovering. Vowing never to drink again. (umm, maybe just not drink too much). Now I’m catching up on some much needed office work – yes, I run my own corporation and do everything myself! Not just a pretty face! Lol.

I really need to go shopping for winter clothes for my trip to Canada in a couple of weeks. But I think I’ll leave that till monday. It’s kinda gloomy outside, one of those days where you just wanna stay warm inside.

Talk Soon!

luv Mon xoxo
