Well I have calmed down a lot since my last blog. I was stressed to the max! Decided to take things one day at a time, rather than trying to do everything at once, as I usually do! I think I was jet-lagged for 2 weeks, which is very unusual, but I did go through many different time zones in one month, so it’s not surprising. I guess that’s the main reason I was having such bad insomnia.
Learning 13 songs while trying to work and shoot, is a lot tougher than I thought. It would be different if I had a say in the music, but I don’t, so I have to push myself even harder. I have to fit in at least a couple of hours per day, devoted to one song a day. At the same time, doing up to an hour of my vocal lessons. So that’s what I’ve been trying to do, 6 days a week.
I decided that I needed to devote one day per week to myself, and that day is Sunday. Which I call ‘Sunday Funday’. I’ll sleep in, cook a nice big breakfast, go hiking, have dinner with friends and catch up on all my favorite TV shows. If you don’t give yourself at least one day off where you don’t think about work, you’ll go insane, and that’s the type of stress that makes you want to give up and run away.
Had a great shoot for Orona Films last week, we shot ‘Bikini CSI’, directed by Gary Orona. It was great to catch up with the ‘old school’ gang, Tabitha Stevens, Jessica Jaymes, Cheyne Collins, Nick Manning, Mya, Jay Lassiter. I shot my scene with Cheyne Collins, he’s always been one of my favorite co-stars, very easy to work with and always has a great attitude on set, which is key for any performer.
I’ve been very strict on myself the last couple of weeks. I felt like I needed a de-tox from drinking so much in Australia! So I didn’t drink for 2 weeks, then finally I caved in to peer pressure on Saturday night with the girls. I felt like, it was either go home alone on a Saturday night, or stay out and act silly with my girls. And I’m kinda over all my booty calls, so that wasn’t even an option in my mind. My motto is ‘Go hard or go home’, so of course, I went hard! I decided to be different and drink premium Sake, rather than my usual shots of Patron or red wine!
It was a good night, a little hungover the next day, but we went hiking anyway. It was so beautiful, this time up in the Santa Monica Mountains, very fresh and green. A little cold, but I guess that’s better than being deathly hot! I’m trying to talk another friend into going hiking later this afternoon, I’m officially addicted! Hell, there’s worse things I could be hooked on right?
So it’s back to work for now, got so much to organize before Adultcon this weekend. Where I’ll be sharing a booth with Sunny Leone and Monique Alexander. I may only be there fri and sat for a few hours each day, later in the afternoon or evening, since I have a lot to do before my 5 week tour starting 23rd April, time is precious right now, but I can’t wait to meet all my fans in LA!
Until next time…..
