on tour in Australia

Monday, October 26th, 2009

It’s so great to be back in my homeland, Australia. First stop was Sydney, appearing the famous, national radio show with Kyle and Jackie O. Great interview, Jackie is smokin’ hot and Kyle was really cool, considering all the bad press he’s been getting lately.

I then flew to Melbourne for an interview on a new Triple M radio show called ‘Adults only with Eva O’keeffe. That was also great. Then the next day I had a signing at ClubX in Coburg. Nice turn out and its great to hear such positive feedback about my book. Though what sucked was that my movies that they had ordered from the US, never made it through customs! Yes, there are many restrictions on porn in this country, which is why alot of my movies haven’t been exported over here since the days of my big feature films many years ago.

Had alot of fun partying in Melbourne on saturday night, since I had a day off on Sunday, and then had a wonderful dinner with my new favourite Italian family (Luv the Fam Ricko!).

Probably should have gone to bed early, but spent the night catching up with a friend. And had 3 interviews early on Monday. ABC radio Breakfast club with Phil Kafcaloudes, very cool. Then an interview for Sassisam.com, who absolutely loved the book and wanted me to write a sequel!

Then the dreaded interview with Jon Faine on ABC radio conversation hour. WOW. He is so anti-porn, and the things he was saying were so ridiculous and made no sense whatsoever. Like, porn leads to violence, and 10yr olds are dressing up as pornstars! hahahahahaa I mean WTF is that about? Hollywood movies and celebs have way more of a negative impact on people than porn. Porn is helpful to couples in stale relationships, if a guy is going to be violent, it’s not because he watches porn, and violence and porn is illegal to shoot these days anyway, and how the fuck would a 10yr old girl even know what a pornstar is, let alone dress like one!

So I handled myself very well with all the stabbing remarks. I had to hold my tongue a fair bit, and I was shaking with anger at some of the things he was saying. But hey, your gonna get these types sometimes and you just have to smile and deal with it.

So now i’m off to a signing at Club X in Brisbane, after having done a great interview with Triple M breakfast the cage. Then onto 4BC radio with Walter Williams, then clubX signing in Mt Gravatt, then dinner with my bro. And I then have to get up at 5am for numerous interviews in Sydney, and give a speech at the Sexpo Gala Dinner!

Had a great photo/video shoot last night for scarlettblue.com awesome photographer Tania! and Makeup artist Michelle. The photos will end up in Australian Picture magazine. Video on Scarlettblue.com

I absolutely love doing all of this FYI, having an awesome time, dont care how tired I am. I love staying busy, and so excited to see my book on the shelves of every store and airport!

Gotta run, but will update next week!

Hollywood Mayhem…

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009

Ahhh, what a life! Sitting in hair and makeup all morning, a stylist, dressing me in thousands of $$$$$ worth of Eres clothing, jewellery made exclusively for the fall seasons’ Hollywood red carpet events and not forgetting, the Jimmy Choo shoes! Yes folks, I actually did a fashion shoot today for Marie Claire Australia, in which they are also including a story on me about my book ‘Absolute Mayhem – Confessions of an Aussie Pornstar’. Which is now available for pre-order via a link on my website Monicamayhem.com

It just goes to show how far we’ve come in society, where a magazine like Marie Claire, would do a feature story on a porn star! Considering that hardcore porn is illegal in Australia and for the most part, anyone in the adult industry is looked down upon over there. If it wasn’t so taboo, we would be able to vote against this anti-porn business. But in any case, I’m not ashamed of what I do, because that’s who I am, and this is the life I choose to lead.

The shoot was amazing, the outfits and my look were all very ‘Old Hollywood’ with a modern touch. I actually got to wear a $350,000 diamond and pearl necklace. Which, unless I become a millionaire or find a very rich sugar daddy – haha, I will probably never get to wear again. These pieces were custom designed from Israel, specifically for celebrities to wear on the red carpet this season.

As for the Jimmy Choo shoes, I absolutely loved them, so Sex and the City! There was another pair that I drooled over, which were from a different Italian designer whose name escapes me, anyway, they had silver sparkles on the soles and huge Swarovski crystals all over the straps. FYI, girls, if you ever get a chance to go to the Swarovski crystal museum in Austria – do it, I went 9 years ago, it was fantastic and you will no doubt orgasm when you see the worlds biggest crystal! And guys – if you can’t afford diamonds, Swarovski crystal is the next best thing! (Although still not cheap).

Most of the outfits were I guess 60’s style swimwear, but a lot sexier. We did 6 different looks. The toughest part of the shoot was the flowing gown, in which I had to walk up and down stairs, while whisking out this huge gown/robe type thing in the wind, at the same time, trying to look natural, while trying not to trip on the gown, and then trying to look like Paris Hilton – with the ’I’m so fabulous’ vibe. WOW! I really give props to mainstream models, fashion is a hell of a lot harder than just looking sexy and spreading your legs!

Everytime I moved, 3 stylists would come rushing in to fix something on me. It was great, I felt like a real life Barbie doll! I loved doing the Bettie Page pin up type pose too – I‘m now inspired to shoot that for my website. And the easiest shots were of course, taken in the Jacuzzi, and then laying on a floatie in the pool, with my sunglasses on, while sipping on a strawberry daiquiri!

We would have done more gowns, had it not been for that fact that the designers only sent the stylist size 0‘s! Made for giant (really tall) supermodels with no boobs. LOL. In case your wondering, my current measurements are 36C-26-36. And I am very happy with that! Not too skinny, not overweight, just healthy and toned! (Thanks to countless hours in the gym and yoga, and a super strict diet).

All in all, I had a fantastic day. And am now at home for the night, getting ready to head off to Vegas tomorrow for the Exotic Dancers convention and awards show – in which I am nominated for ‘Adult Movie Entertainer of the year’. I’m super stoked about that, whether I win or not, I’m just honored to be nominated. And now I have an excuse to wear this sexy outfit that I bought last year, and still haven’t worn, because I’ve been waiting for the right occasion!

Oh, and if you’d like to be amused at my lack of sports knowledge, and get to know me a little more, listen to my interview on ‘The Best Damn Podcast’ on Itunes.

Stayed tuned for adventures in Vegas! (I’m sure there will be many!).

Australia

I’ve been having a great time back home in OZ. Started off a week or so ago in Lorne VIC, at the AdultEx convention. It was all toy distributors and retailers, not a fan thing, but I signed alot of store posters for my Saucy Aussie Collection of toys. And hopefully will be back in around 6 months to do some store signings around the country!
Everyone was so cool and so much fun, Calvista really did a great job. Drank quite alot, while being jetlagged at the same time – not a good combo, but I got through it just fine.
Next stop Sydney, had a few days to catch up with a few people, before heading to melbourne to dance at the Spearmint Rhino. Which was alot of fun, had a great time and the staff were amazing. So many hot chicks! The patrons aren’t used to features, so I got on the mic on the last night and that created a big stir, did alot of lapdances that night.
Went out to a couple of clubs afterwards, but a little bit too heavy for my liking. Long gone are my days of hardcore trance and techno clubbing. It was really a bit seedy, so we left and continued the party in my hotel.
Had a couple of girlfriends come down to Melbourne, so we did a bit of shopping, and went to some nice restaurants.
Now i’m back in Sydney with my family, catching up on emails etc.. Got alot of friends to see this week. Not enough time here unfortunately, but I gotta fly to New Mexico to dance the day after I get back to LA.
Stayed tuned…
