| Interesting day today, at the Chatsworth Courthouse. It felt like, as soon as those courtroom doors open, we all do the walk of shame, like a bunch of cattle going in for the slaughter.
Then the rules are explained. Which apparently, some people dont listen to. It was actually extremely entertaining listening to some of these peoples excuses. The judge was hilarious and cracking jokes the whole time, and was very lenient on everyone, even the guys who were fined for doing twice the speed limit on the freeway! So I finally get called to the stand. And after going back and forth in my head about what to plead, weighing all my options, instead of being rebellious – as I usually am, I took my attorneys advice, rather than wasting another day in another courtroom by pleading not guilty. I definately was not guilty, but I pleaded no contest and explained my case. Low and behold, I get one charge dismissed, and the other a $10 fine! Woohoooooooo! So i’m in a great mood right now and just wanted to share that with you. Go to court with a positive attitude, and good things will come. And of course, it doesn’t hurt to dress up like you mean business, as I did today. I kinda miss wearing suits like I did back in my Futures Broking days. You feel quite powerful.
