And the Mayhem continues….

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

know it’s been a while since I’ve blogged. I’ve been completely caught up in not only organizing a wedding, a new home back in Sydney, and co-ordinating my stuff back in LA, which, I really don’t want to talk about. It’s not as simple as ‘I quit porn, and moved on’. It was a whole lot of, chasing up checks not paid to me for final shoots, closing accounts, finalizing deals, and other personal things. Including the unbelievable agony of all the quarantine requirements for my cat. I’m leaving him with a friend in LA for 3 months rather than have him in Australia in a cage for 4 months!….

.. ..

So as Every major newspaper in Australia would describe me as ‘From porn queen to vets wife’. Well that may be true, but that’s not all I’m doing. I’m not just a housewife. Though it’s hard to describe exactly what I’ve been doing since I got here other than media interviews, cancelling my life in America, organizing a wedding and building a new home. And my husband, well, he owns an animal hospital, and is one of the best orthopedic surgeons in Australia. He does major surgeries to save animals. And a lot of people respect and love him for saving their pets lives. Great human being, but not your average vet! Hehe. ….

.. ..

Since I have moved back to Sydney, I’ve done nothing but socialize, travel, do press interviews, finalize my business and belongings in LA, and get married. Which, has all kept me extremely busy. And now, I just have a couple more social engagements over the next two months, before I can commit to finding an agent out here, and look for some mainstream work. Though you may still see me in certain men’s magazines including Hustler 2011. But I’m hoping to pursue my love of acting, hosting, and music. ….

So if you follow me on twitter, it may seem that my life has been one big eating and drinking fest since I’ve left Hollywood. Some fights have broken out around me, the usual Aussie pub lifestyle. I’ve almost got in a few fights myself, by filthy attitudes from bitches. And although that is true, however, that is just the break I’ve needed for the longest time. The Townsville bulletin just wrote a little negative piece on me saying I was up there ‘recruiting’ girls, which was not true, I was there purely on a business meeting discussing a tour of Far North QLD. And the ‘Daily Telegraph’ Australia, wrote a nice piece about my marriage a couple of weeks ago, but then today, abused my name by saying that I quoted ‘All Sydney girls were superficial and cheap’, which I never actually said. I did however say, that it was hard to make friends here, particularly in Eastern suburbs, because most of the people who grew up here, grew up with money, and I’ve come from nothing to something (new money) which is completely different and I’m still who I’ve always been. Most girls in Sydney tend to stick with their own little cliques…..

.. ..

Anyway, I’ve been extremely busy though it’s nothing to do with porn, just day to day stuff. But I’m working on ideas. Trying to figure out what’s next. And when I finally settle in, back to Aussie life. I’m sure I’ll figure it all out soon enough!….

FYI, if you have an Amazon account, I’d really appreciate a nice review of my book ‘Absolute Mayhem’. One guy seemed to write mine off to promote Tera Patricks book, which seemed a tad strange considering I’ve had nothing but rave reviews since it’s oct 09 Australian release! Anyway, I’d appreciate any help and will offer a free signed 8×10 poster for doing so! Xoxo mon….

Sydney Update…

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

Had a whirlwind trip to Brisbane, with some great signings at ClubX in Brisbane city and Mt Gravatt. Had a blast from the past come and see me in Mt Gravatt, so great to catch up! Along with plenty of radio interviews. Then got to see my big bro later that night, which was a lot of fun, going out for Tapas, eating way too much, and unfortunately, had to cut it short by going to bed early to get up at 5am to fly to Sydney the next day.

Did a ton of interviews in Sydney, which were well worth it. And attended the Sexpo Gala Dinner and Erotic Film Festival that night, where I gave my speech on ‘Freedom of Speech and Censorship within Australia’. Although I had to cut it very short at the last minute, it went down extremely well, and people were actually surprised about how much research I had done, and how well I brought my point across. There is far too much censorship in Australia, especially for a country that has nude surfing competitions, and brothels!

Had my first two signings at Sexpo on Thursday, which was great. The show itself is actually very entertaining. It’s quite big, and there were a lot of great performances. A well known Aussie Comedian ‘Russell Gilbert’ was hosting . Very funny. Amazing performances by Suzie Q. And an artist by the name of ‘Picasso’ who uses his penis to paint portraits of people! You don’t see that everyday! Haha. He was great.

I took a ride in the ‘Penis Train’, which was like a ghost train ride, only you got spooked by penis’. I was cracking up the whole time.

What was great is that the stalls have ‘showbags’ for sale, just like the Ekka, which is an exhibition (Expo) – that’s what we used to call it in QLD. You can get toys, DVD’s (only R-rated), magazines, posters, lingerie and all kinds of different items. A lot different to any of the conventions I‘ve been to over the years in the States, they only have 2 porn stars headlining doing signings, which they fly out from the States and Europe. Of course I was there also, but it was a last minute gig to promote my book, so I had my own booth at the Sexpo Merchandise stall.

They also had strip clubs promoting there, where you could go into another room designed to look like the inside of a club, where girls were in there dancing. Anyone who had anything to do with the sex industry, was at this show! I guess that’s why they call it ‘SEXPO’. And I’m now doing my best to help out with the Australian Sex Party which you can learn more about at sexparty.org.au – Australia’s newest political force, doing their part in protecting citizen’s sexual rights and freedoms! Go Fiona Patten! You have my support, most definitely.

As for the book reviews, I’m so excited! People kept coming up to me saying how much they loved the book, and that they read it within 2 days, and wanted to read more. I was really nervous before it’s release, and to hear these things, really makes my day.

It was a great four days at Sexpo, although I suffered from Tonsillitis the whole time, so I couldn’t go out and mingle after. But it was still fun anyway.

I’m now catching up with family in Sydney for a few days, having a bit of a break before heading to Perth on Friday to perform at the Voodoo Lounge. I’m sure that will be awesome, I’ve heard great things about this club.

Until next time…..
